Poet and journalist based in Haifa. Received her BA in Journalism and the English Language from Haifa University in 2006. She won the Young Writer of the Year Award from A.M. Qattan Foundation in 2010 for her first volume of poetry, Liwa, which was published in 2011. Her second poetry collection, As The Woman From Lod Bore Me, was launched through a poetry show—where various fields of arts are presented through text on stage—in 2015. She has also contributed to and participated in various journals, anthologies and poetry festivals. Her poems have been translated into English, German, French, Persian, Swedish, Spanish, Dutch, Montenegrin, Greek and Italian.
Azaizeh has also worked as an editor of print newspapers, a journalist and a presenter on a number of TV and radio stations. Currently, she is a manager of Poetry Yard, which she founded in 2017. She is also a freelance writer for cultural magazines and manages Fattoush Bookshop and Arts in Haifa.
